Artist's Description

I fell in love with this chair when I found it, Chair 6 Breckenridge, Colorado. Maybe its my age but I have a soft spot for old 2 man chairs and this was just epic. Yes it bashes your legs and heads as you enter and dangles about at a painstakingly tedious speed. But then there is contemplation and beauty and a rest on a deep powder day... and best of all 2 man slow chairs mean empty pistes on the way back down. They are a luxury a hidden commodity, a precious joy, but yes tediously slow and maybe just a couple of runs out the way in peace and quiet and you can head back to the noise and chaos of fast lifts and crazy people. Lots of texture in this one and some subtle colouring for me quite reserved. Love how it reminds me of the peace and quiet on the lift on a fresh powder day with the light just starting to pierce the dense snow clouds and the gentle clank of the lift....Heaven.
