Beautiful painting from Marmottes in the Grande Massif ski area above Les Carroz near to Flaine, Samoens and Morillon. This was a wonderful few days I spent in this mountain resort in wonderful fresh deep powder. The light was a bit flat for picking your way down the pistes but it gave such a soft light to the paintings. There is something quite magical about these powder days, a feeling of special adventure which these paintings catch wonderfully in their soft muted colours.
