Description
Top of the Schindlergrat chair at St Anton. Skiers and boarders skiing off from the chair and standing and waiting while admiring the view. Great painting. This is part of my series of paintings from St Anton where I focused on Piste 85 and Piste 100. These are two stunning pistes, a great long blast down through an epic valley. Add in the well positioned coffee and food stop half way down and we have a classic piste.I visited this resort just after the new link to Zurs opened so piste 85 was really an important part of the trip being the piste to the Flexenbahn to open up the rest of the ski area. Early morning it was a great sight to see all the keen skiers racing down this piste ready to complete the great tour and Run of Fame of this epic ski area before lifts close.
